OUR HISTORY - CORPORATE CHRONOLOGY

1993 Japan Aircraft Leasing Co., Ltd. established (Head office: Otemachi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo)
1998 Acquired goodwill of Okura & Co., Ltd. Aircraft Department, renamed Marubeni Aerospace Corporation, head office relocated to Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo.

Received order for broadcast satellite BSAT-2a/b
1999 Established overseas affiliate Marubeni Aerospace America Corporation.

Delivered the EH Industries Ltd. (the present Leonardo MW Ltd.) “Merlin” EH-101 Helicopter to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department.

Relocated head office to Akashi-cho, Chuo-ku, Tokyo.
2000 Received order for communication satellite N-STARc.

Delivered the fifth Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation GIV for use as a Japan Air Self-Defense Force "U-4" multi-purpose support aircraft.
Received order for the multi-purpose transport satellite MTSAT-1R.

Started the business jet operation management business.

Increased capital to 400 million Yen.
2001 Received order for the BSAT-2c broadcasting satellite.
Received order for two Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation GV aircraft for use by the Japan Coast Guard as search and rescue aircraft.
2002 Started the business jet charter market.
Relocated the head office to Otemachi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo.
2003 Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force decided to adopt the “Merlin” EH-101 Helicopter.

Increased capital to 650 million Yen.

Started large-sized Airliner charter business for travel agencies.
2004 Received contract for Inmarsat line lease in July;

Attained TRACE certification in September, renewed annually every year since.
2005 Delivered the first Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation GV Aircraft to be used as Japan Coast Guard’s search and rescue aircraft "Umi Washi"

Delivered second GV Aircraft for "Umi Washi".
2006 Supported delivery of Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force Airborne Mine Countermeasures and Transport Helicopter "MCH-101" 1
2007 Started hangar business at Okayama Airport;

Supported delivery of first Augusta Westland Ltd., (the present Leonardo MW Ltd.), "CH-101" Helicopter for Antarctic exploration.
2008 Received order for new Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation business jet model, G650,

Started business jet maintenance service, MJ Jet Center
2009 Started hangar business exclusively serving business jets at Chubu Centrair International Airport.
2013 Started Gulfstream G650 charter business;

Relocated head office to Yurakucho, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo
2014 Launched weather satellite Himawari 8, equipped with U.S. company Harris Corporation's imager which we assisted in delivering,
2016 Launched weather satellite Himawari 9, equipped with U.S. company Harris Corporation’s imager which we assisted in delivering,
2017 Supported delivery of the 13th and final “Merlin” helicopter for the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force “MCH-101/CH-101 Program”,
2018 Started HondaJet Dealer operation, HondaJet Japan.
2019 Received order for new Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation business jet model, G700
2020 Contracted for Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation G550 Aircraft to be used as Japan Coast Guard’s search and rescue aircraft
